I was so excited when I received my Stampendous Stamps by Andy Skinner. I immediately thought of Shakespeare and the set props and costumes. I decided to make a set of themed blocks to show case some of my favorite quotes and to celebrate literature.   First I painted all of the blocks with a thin coat of DecoArt Matte Medium and let that dry. I have some exciting news to announce. I have been asked to be a design team member for DecoArt and I have accepted. I will be sending my first tutorial video to them to be featured in February and then again every month. I couldn’t have asked for a better fit. Spread your wings and fly!

One of the ways I feed my happy is to spread my wings and try new techniques and art supplies. Maybe not even new supplies but try to use some of my old supplies in new ways. Maybe give yourself permission to play. Sometimes that is really hard to do when you have deadlines or you are worried about wasting supplies when you are low on money. Give yourself a little pep talk and permission to let your creativity awaken, to let your inner child play. Make stuff without worrying about will it sell or will others like it. Experiment....
